(CHASE RACE #7) Bojangles Chicken & Biscuits 100 @ Rockingham Speedway
Jack Ashcroft wins a chaotic penultimate race at Rockingham, Bliss, Houston, Braxton Laughlin eliminated from the chase
It was a wild day in North Cackalacka involving multiple accidents and chase implications, but ultimately it would be Jack Ashcroft winning the race in Rockingham, with a controversial incident that would draw the yellow that would end the race. #05- Ricardo Guerrero would hook the 62 of Lacey Starling down the backstretch, and Starling would hit the inside wall, but keep going to make it to the finish. The 05 and 62 crews would get into a massive pit road brawl before STARS officials would break it up. Bob Boyd would bring his self-owned operation home P2, while Corbin Rhodes, John Jefferson, and Owen Hill would round out the Top 5.

"Man, how the hell'd we wind up Top 2?! These guys on my Lumber Liquidators crew really worked hard to get us up here today, that's about the best run we've had all year. All these rich kids and LIS teams coming and kicking our butts every week, we finally got one up on 'em!" Bob Boyd said.
It wasn't all smiles in Rockingham though, as Braxton Laughlin, Dustin Houston, and Bailey Bliss's title hopes would come to an end.
"I can't thank everyone on this 36 team enough for all the work they put in to this season. 'Bout halfway through the year they found out I'm not coming back next year after 12 years with this team, but I owe these guys the world for giving me an awesome truck. Hopefully whoever comes into this team next year will do these guys right. I'll be pullin' for Tyler (Everett) to bring us one back at Vegas, though, but you better believe we'll be looking to add one last win to the collection before it's all said and done." Dustin Houston said, in an emotional post-race interview.
"We did everything we could, and we just weren't able to get into the final four. I hate that I couldn't get these guys on the 5 team a title, but we'll go into Vegas and go for a win. From there, who knows? Next year could bring anything. But I'm not worried about next year, We're just gonna go into Vegas and get it done." Bailey Bliss said, her spirits not dampened by being eliminated.
"Not like it matters that we got eliminated. This team wasn't good enough to be in the final four. McBrien Racing's calling for next year, and I'll show the others how it's done in the LIS. You can bet on that." Braxton Laughlin said, not too happy about being eliminated.
