Ruby McBrien win puts her in final four; joined by Miller, Carlisle and Carter

Ruby McBrien took her fourth win of the season in a crucial time as she punched her ticket into the championship defining race at Las Vegas in just her rookie season. The 17-year-old performed at a vital time, as she led just 32 laps, taking the win off her father who led much of the event. Bradley Carlisle finished behind Ruby McBrien to capitalise on Breyton Green's issues and lock himself into the final four, while Kevin Miller's seventh was enough to see him with a chance at the title, and while Ross Carter's engine exploded and he left watching for the majority of the race, he was able to hold onto his final four spot.

Frank McBrien and Matilda Dillinger finished in third and fourth, while Grant Macintosh's fifth place finish was not enough to see him make the final four after he had led the points for much of the season.

Ryan Matthews' chances were dashed after a crash on lap 51; Breyton Green's car suffered an engine failure on just lap 8, while Chiyo Minami could only muster up a 16th place finish, which was not enough to see her into the final four.

All eyes are on Ruby McBrien entering the season finale at Las Vegas, however, as she has been in fine form over the round of eight; her worst finish being 10th at Michigan. McBrien also won the race at Charlotte, another 1.5 mile track. Everything put together makes the rookie the favourite entering the final race.

"heck"

McBrien was in shock after her victory, realising she will have the chance to win the title, but when she came around, she was able to give an interview.

"I am really HECKING EXCITED!!!" said McBrien, "This is amazing! I did my Rubesty! I'm going to go for a title! Dia and Dad will be so proud! I'm so so excited! HECK!"

While it was elation for the youngster, others were not so happy; namely Grant Macintosh, who's top 5 run was not enough to seal the deal.

"It hurts, man. We had a hell of a car all season, and the wheels just came off our season late in the goin'. It's rough but I'll be cheerin' for li'l Ruby to get herself a title, ATK doesn't have a horse in this race anymore so it's fair game as far as I see it."

Breyton Green was also left upset after his exit from the chase.

"I don't get it. You have a guy in the final four who has 4 top 5's all year, and he missed the season opener. Now he could win the title. What a joke of a system. We have nearly double the top 5s and 10s of Ross Carter but we got nothing to show for it. Absolutely shambolic. Hopefully Kevin, Bradley or Ruby win it because they've actually earned their spots in the final four."

It will be between the four drivers entering the season finale at Las Vegas!
